Orpington WILPF Branch meets on the 4th Tuesday afternoon in the month at Petts Wood or Orpington and serves women in Bromley, S.E London and North West Kent. (There is also a central London WILPF group that meets in the evening).

Saturday October 11th. 3 pm Public Meeting: Lakeswood Hall, Petts Wood ----------- Bruce Kent: "Nuclear Weapons - time to abolish the lot" : The ICAN campaign for a nuclear weapons convention. Organised by WILPF. Sponsors include CND, UNA. Petts Wood Friends.

October 28th. Meeting------------- Feedback from public meeting. Speaker to be arranged.

November 25th--------------------- Anna Brown on her recent travel to Peru with Trade Craft contacts. Local Trade Craft distributors invited. Arrangements for season's fund raising event.

SHEFFIELD GROUP

The group meets monthly, usually on the fourth Tuesday (not August or December).

18th September 2008 (7.30pm) - Discussion on Women and the UN International Day of Peace

16th October 2008 (7.30pm) - Talk on "WILPF's campaign on Prostitution" by Rosalind Brunt.

8th November 2008 (10am - 4pm) - WILPF stall at Sheffield Peace and Craft Fair, Sheffield Town Hall.

20th November 2008 (7.30pm) - Speaker from "Women to Women for Peace" on their exchange visit with women in Albania.

22nd November 2008 (10 am - 4 pm) - Conference on "The Poor Suffer First - Meeting the Challenge of Climate Change". The Conference is run by several local organisations including WILPF.
